fine art-ish

I hate calling my own work art—maybe that means I need to work on my confidence. Or maybe it’s because when you say you do fine-art photography you get the same baffled look of people trying to understand why you don’t just photograph weddings. (Although major respect to those who do, cause brides…)

Anyways, these are some of my fine-art photographs. A lot of the layering in these images relates back to that whole photographs are memories thing. We don’t have a lot of control over the memories we remember and how they are stored in our brains, and so I love the way mixing multiple images together creates a happenstance image—a lot like our memories. Also, they tend to look pretty cool.
