Castle & Burnes: packaging design

Castle & Burnes formed when two independent organic tea companies combined to expand their reach. As they continue to grow, their need for a new identity has sprouted as they hope to push their products into all major retail stores, from Whole Foods to King Soopers. They have a well-rounded selection of tea including: Oolong, Green, White Black, Mate, and Rooibos. Castle and Burnes wanted to create a brand that was sophisticated, high-end yet affordable, with an old world meets urban hip vibe.

By doing market research, we were able to find that the coffee and tea industry is growing as people are looking for healthier alternatives to sugary sodas and drinks. The biggest threat to Castle & Burnes was the growth of coffee over tea. With so many options for tea on the shelves, Castle & Burnes needed a brand and package that set them apart from their competition. The prime market for their products is young adults, and after establishing their new brand with boxed teas, they plan to move to ready-to-drink teas as these are becoming more and more popular.

Castle & Burnes needs to establish themselves with a new identity as a singular company. The packaging is what draws consumers in, but there also needs to be an established brand. The following is just the beginning for this blossoming new company.
